A Different Kind of Care.
Here at Winterset Dental Care, we focus on the individual needs of each patient with one goal— improving our patients’ smiles and quality of life. Our dental implants are placed utilizing state-of-the-art procedures on an outpatient basis. In addition to high-quality prosthodontic care to replace your missing teeth, you'll find comprehensive dental care that spans nearly every major dental specialty and treatment type.
Our primary specialty is replacing missing teeth. In addition to making your smile whole and healthy, we can help you enjoy steak, apples and corn on the cob again. Whether you are already missing teeth, about to lose a tooth, have a broken tooth or are in need of full mouth reconstruction, Dr. Agarwal can help.
Most patients refer to restorations as “fillings” because material is used to “fill” a hole or broken spot in the tooth. Modern dental materials now allow dentists to remove minimal tooth structure and attach tooth-colored materials. Patients prefer restorations that cannot be seen. If too much tooth structure is missing, a tooth must receive a crown (cap), made out of metal, porcelain, or both, that is cemented in place for years of service. Crowns are also linked together to create a “bridge”, a restoration that closes a gap where teeth have been lost so patients can resume proper chewing.
It’s great news that the incidence of tooth decay has significantly diminished over the years due to the use of fluorides and an increase in patient awareness. However, teeth are still susceptible to decay, infection, and breakage and sometimes need to be restored back to health. Through improved techniques and modern technology, we are now able to offer more options for restoring a tooth back to its normal shape, appearance and function.
Should your teeth ever require a restorative treatment, you can rest assured knowing we will always discuss with you the available options, and recommend what we believe to be the most comfortable and least invasive treatment. Providing you with excellent care is our number one priority when creating your beautiful smile.
What is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a permanent, titanium-metal structure that attaches to the jawbone, serving as a foundation upon which to build natural-looking teeth. Many patients have used implants as a root structure for porcelain front teeth, giving them a more youthful appearance.
Implants require minor surgery that should only be performed by dentists who have received additional training beyond dental school.
