Founder and CEO: Dr. Anil K. Agarwal DDS, MS
Dr. Anil Agarwal earned his DDS in 1974 from the King George's Medical School, India and went on to complete a residency in Prosthodontics at Northwestern University, where he then taught Prosthodontics for 21 years. He also completed a Masters of Science in Oral Biology. Having completed over 600 hours of continuing education in prosthodontics and implants, Dr. Agarwal has earned both Fellowship and Diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, as well as Fellowships for the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American College of Osseointegration.Dr. Agarwal has lectured nationally as well as internationally for last 22 years on Implants and other adult reconstruction related topics—giving over 100 continuing education courses to other professionals, and over 650 hours of continuing education in different disciplines of Prosthodontics. He also completed a Masters of Science in Oral Biology.

Dr. Hector E Cummings, Jr., DDS (Periodontists)Dr. Cummings received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry (1997) and his certificate of residency from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry (2000). He is currently engaged in full time private practice of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Cummings has been recognized both nationally and internationally for his academic excellence and clinical ability. Dr. Cummings has been certified Board Eligible by the American Academy of Periodontology. His research on Peptostreptococcus micros has been published in the Journal of Periodontology. Dr. Cummings has extensive training in all aspects of Periodontics and Implant dentistry and is dedicated to providing patients with the latest treatment in the field. In addition, he is certified in conscious sedation which affords him the ability to treat the most anxious of patients. Dr. Cummings is dedicated to his family including wife Tene, daughter McCoy and son Harmon. In his spare time, Dr. Cummings enjoys cycling and weight training. |
Dr. James Schmidth, DDS, MS (Prosthodontist)Dr. Schmidt, a Chicago native, studied chemical engineering and biology at St. Norbert College, before going on to study dentistry at Marquette University. In 2004 Dr. Schmidt graduated magna cum laude with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. After graduation he continued his pursuit of academic excellence by studying prosthetic and implant dentistry at The Ohio State University. In the summer of 2007, Dr. Schmidt received his certificate in advanced prosthodontics, a master’s of science degree and was also certified Board Eligible by the American College of Prosthodontics. Throughout his life, Dr. Schmidt has always approached challenges with a strong heart and a focused mind and in the future he plans to treat his patients with the same dedication and compassion. When not studying or practicing dentistry Dr. Schmidt tries to get out and enjoy the peace and serenity of the great outdoors with his wife Dr. Karla Bayer and other family and friends. |
Dr. Jere Seralde, DDS (GP)Dr. Seralde earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California. He spent three years of undergraduate study pursuing a degree in Medical Technology at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Dr. Seralde is committed to providing high quality comprehensive dental care. He believes in complete dental care that creates functional, beautiful smiles and improves overall health. Dr. Seralde is dedicated to his family, including his wife Joann and daughter Cassidy. In his spare time he enjoys photography, camping, and snowboarding. |
Dr. Andrew J. Wang, DDS, MPH (GP)Dr. Andrew J. Wang completed his master's degree in public health at Indiana University-Bloomington. In 2002, he earned his DDS at Case Western Reserve University. Following dental school, he participated in a one-year intensive General Practice Residency program at Loyola University in Maywood, IL. Dr. Wang is a member of four dental organizations and is also certified in Invisalign, corrective appliance orthodontics. |

Community Work - A Different Kind of Caring
Dr. Agarwal has a strong commitment to his profession and the public. He is an active member of 7 dental organizations
and routinely provides dental care to underserved populations in Chicago, having donated an office building and fully
equipped practice to charity for this specific purpose.
After reading an article in The Star, a local Chicago Heights newspaper, Dr. Anil Agarwal changed his life and subsequently the lives of more than 700 low-income and uninsured people in the South Suburbs.
That change is being celebrated by the official opening of the Agarwal Family Health Society Dental Clinic, 1415 Emerald Ave., Chicago Heights, Illinois.
Marylin Walsh, his office manager, handed Dr. Agarwal an article about The Family Health Society in Chicago Heights helping unfortunate people with dental care. The article mentioned the need for an office to continue providing dental service to the working poor, underinsured, and uninsured. Dr. Agarwal was on the phone after reading the article willing to donate his office to the Family Health Society.
The official opening of the Agarwal Family Health Society Dental Clinic took place April 26, 2001. With a staff of four paid employees and 79 volunteers, the society helps low-income, underinsured or uninsured south suburban residents.
